Water and sewer payments are due in full on the 15th day of each month.

 

After the 20th, a late fee is added to any account with an outstanding balance.

 

Bills which still remain unpaid after the 25th are subject to disconnection of water.

 

Once a service is disconnected for non-payment, a reconnection fee plus the total amount owed is due and must be paid in full in order to have the service restored.

If I do not receive a water bill, does that mean I do not owe anything?

NO, if you do not receive a bill by the 5th day of the month call our office and we will be glad to assist you with needed information.

What should I do if I feel that my bill is too high? If I had a leak?

Direct those problems to the Anson County Water Maintenance Department at 694-5986.

I want my water account drafted, what do I need to do?

Come by the Revenue Department in the basement of the courthouse and sign a form releasing the proper information along with authorization.

When am I drafted and how do I know the amount for my records?

Accounts are drafted on the 10th day of each month. You will still receive a bill with the word 'draft' inserted beside the amount to be drafted.

Can I pay my water account by check?

You may pay by check up until the 25th of the month.  After this date you must pay by cash, cashier's check or money order.  Other conditions may apply.

What is the penalty for a return check?

The amount of the check, plus a $20.00 service charge. You are given ten days to come by and take care of the check and service charge.  You may pay by cash, cashier's check or money order.  Failure to do so will result in your water service being disconnected and an additional service charge added.

If my water is disconnected, what will the reconnection fee cost? 

If your service is disconnected there is a $50.00 reconnection fee. Reconnection fees along with the total amount due must be paid to restore water.

To keep my service from being disconnected, when should I pay?

ALWAYS, ALWAYS, make sure that your water account is paid in full by the 25th of each month at 5:00 pm to avoid disruption of your water service!!!
